Seriously? The Royal Family hid its treasured Crown on a Biscuit Jar... to protect it from Nazis?
Would you believe this?
During the 2nd World War, the officials dug a hole on the sally port (secured entrance to a castle), to guard and protect the Royal Crown. What's crazy about this is that they hid it in a Tin of biscuits! can you believe that?! This was done to protect it from the Third Reich, Nazi who started the second world war itself. Every night, they would always cover it so that any German aircraft that would flew over the castle wouldn't notice
The Queen herself, didn't even know where it was hidden. And what's more surprising is that Queen Elizabeth II only discovered it recently when a BBC Documentary was made. Who knows what kind of shock The Queen and the Royal Family felt when they discovered how the crown was protected?
For decades, many thought that it was either hidden in a dungeon or in a heavily-secured vault on one of the lands claimed by the UK.
So if you were a Royal at that time, what would you do? How would you hide your treasures? Comment your answers on the comments!
