"An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away" is a very educative and important contest to participate in.

When I first saw this contest, I taught it was all about apples🍎, but then I realized it was mainly about the importance of our health as humans.

Our daily activities play a vital role in the management of our health. From what we eat, to what we drink, and how we operate. We should know that it always tends to impact our health either positively or negatively.



My Understanding On The Theme Of This Task

"An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away" seems to be the perfect phrase telling us that if we do things that benefit our health daily, there's a high percent chance we won't be hospitalized anytime soon.

The secret of a healthy body system depends greatly on the lifestyle we portray. This means that participating in healthy activities daily could prevent illness from our bodies for a very long period of time.

For instance, if we perform activities that make us sweat daily, we help the easy flow of blood in our bodies. Healthy activities daily makes our blood becomes lighter and better, but when we don't perform any activity, our blood becomes thicker and prone to illness.

Some Activities I Do To Make Me Healthy

On regular basis, I practice some activities to make my body healthier and more effective. The reason for participating in these activities is to make my blood lighter for circulation.


I Do Regular Exercises

I take my mental and physical health as a priority. I always engage in physical and healthy activities. I do these activities to keep my muscles/bones strong, and to equally improve the function of my heart (which is to properly pump and circulate blood around my body).

What I do every morning to enhance my health includes bike riding and skating. I do these activities for about 20-50 minutes each day, and sometimes I go beyond 1 hour if the motivation is there.

I discovered how important these activities were for my health, and that so I bought my skating shoes in the first place.


Skating and bicycle riding every morning have helped me in the following ways:


  • It helps me to fight against depression and anxiety. Thereby improving my mood and energy level.

  • It also helps me get better sleep and reduces stress in my body.

  • And most importantly, it helps my cardiovascular system by properly circulating blood to necessary regions of my body.


I Always Try To Get Enough Sleep In The Afternoon (Siesta)

There are times we stress our brains too much, and the result is not always good. The lack of sleep has caused more harm than good to human health, as they have been cases of death due to lack of sleep.

I have had to deal with cardiovascular diseases before, and the major cause of my issue then was lack of sleep. Our bodies deserve to rest after being stressed for hours, and in most cases, 7 hours isn't usually enough.

That's why I don't joke with this routine of taking my afternoon nap. It is very important to always sleep at least 8 hours within every 24 hours.

Afternoon nap has helped me in the following ways:

  • It helps me reduce stress, and stay happy.

  • It has improved my mental health significantly.

  • It has improved my immune system, as well as my cardiovascular system.

How I Got To Know About These Activities
  • For the case of exercising daily, it was a routine I grew up meeting my dad doing daily. As an Army personnel, he would wake up every morning and start jogging and running. According to him, the goal is to see that morning sweat leave your body. I love skating and bicycle riding, and that's what I do to extract that morning sweat from my body.

  • As for the case of getting enough sleep, it was recommended by my doctor 3 years ago. I had some health issues then, and the major cause of my problem was linked to not having enough sleep. Ever since I started getting enough sleep, I have seen more significant changes in my health, and so I have continued it.

The Health Benefits Of Sleeping And Skating
  • They both help reduce the risk of diseases like stroke, diabetes, or any heart related challenge in our bodies.

  • They both help to regulate our weight levels and ensure that we aren't overweight or obese from various unnecessary activities.

  • They both improve the functioning of our immune systems, making us healthy and free from potential diseases.

  • They both improve our memory levels and help us to retain/recall information better.

  • They always improve my hormones and put me in a good mood, making me concentrate better.

Can Everyone Engage In These Activities

I believe everyone wants to live a healthy life, and so we all must have to sacrifice time for learning new and healthy activities.

Although some activities might be difficult for some individuals, they are many other easier and similar activities serving the same purpose of a healthy body.

Most of the health activities I do can equally be done by everyone else. Although for the cases of bicycle riding and skating, some individuals find it risky and unnecessary to engage in.

But I would suggest afternoon naps to everyone because it won't require any special skill or energy to engage in this activity daily.

Health Tips And Recommendations For Every Steemian

As steemians who work tirelessly to see the Steemit platform grow, I would equally recommend some very important health tips to keep you as well as the Steemit platform healthy.

  • We should always try to eat more fruits and vegetables to improve our health, as they are rich in vitamins and minerals.

  • We should also try to do morning exercises each day to reduce the risk of heart disease and obsession.

  • And as I stated earlier too, we should try to sleep up to 8 hours daily for the proper functioning of our immune systems.

  • We should also try as much as possible to avoid smoking and too much alcohol, as they could lead to the death of an individual.

  • We should also brush our teeth daily, as this would help prevent infections from entering our systems.

Conclusion

Our health should be our number one priority because no matter how rich you think you are, your lifespan depends greatly on how you treat your body.

I am one of the student who always want to do skating and bicycle I rememberd during my teens I used to bicycle for hours and it has very good effects on your mind and protect you from depression and anxiety.

This is very good habit you have adapted in long run this will also protect you from so many disease

Nap is also a good habit afternoon it also relax your body and give your body rest
