Yoga: Mind and Body Connection

I don't think yoga really GIVES a person a mind-body connection, but makes one aware of it. I've always been flexible, and I've always been a go with the flow kind of person. Whenever my husband is trying to make plans with me to do something, I'm always telling hims sure. Whatever we do, I'm happy if he's happy (ok maybe not 100% of the time... running distance comes to mind... hating every mile and making myself do it... anyway!). Since my balance in my body has gotten better, I believe I have attained a better sense of being balanced in my actual life, though I have a long way to go. The same can be said for strength. I'm not naturally strong physically, and I have been rather a door mat in my life sometimes. I'm getting my better about standing up for myself, as at the same time I'm suddenly getting much stronger physically. So here's a picture of flexiblity (easy), balance (less easy), and strength (even harder):
