DAILY PROMPT: HUNGER
You wanna talk about ihunger. Take a drive out into the desert where there in't a store, gas station... you'll get hungry. I'm so excited a long time friend. When I was going to college he played for the college baseball team. Him and his girlfriend at the time and I'm talking at least 11 years, theyd come in and have soup and salad at a restaurant I worked at. You know we all have them friends we just connect instantly. They are a part of your life throughout the years. Hes just one of them friends. OMGOSH!!! I remember him turning 21 and I served him his first legal beer!
So I suggested drive through Nelson Nevada. Lost of old buildings and cars. The mountains change and the drive is just beautiful. It winds down to the Colorado River. So much catching up to do and luckily, he'll be here all week.
Something about the desert brings out the ihunger out of you. So after our drive we decided to catch a bite to eat and I suggested Cuban food and the plan was set. In fact, theres a new restaurant that serves Argentinean and Cuban food.; Salsa Latina! OMG IT WAS AMAZING .
What we had wasnt on the menu. I wanted Vaca Fritaand it wasn't on the menu. They were were more that happy to try and take the Ropa Vieja and fry it like the other dish and it was delicious!!! I'm so full I feel like a fatty. It was amazing. This place is a few blocks from my house too!
He's a bit camera shy but what a great day to see and old friend. He will be here until Friday. I just hope I can keep up. I know all the cool hidden spots. It's so easy to get wrapped up into going where the touristy spots But there's beautiful spots in the desert if you just drive . Nelson is only and hour drive. So nice in the Mustang that ge rented. I do miss driving some6but being tbe passenger isn'ta bad gig either.

That looks like fun! I have never tried Cuban food, it looks a lot like Mexican food just less beans :P
I will have to make you try some Korean food when we go out to eat one of these days.
