DAILY PROMPT: HOUSE GUEST
I love to travel into the desert! I love exploring mines, ghost towns,geology, metal detecting.. you name it; I just love all the adventurous things. There's a town by the name of Nelson. It's located in the Nevada desert. Some buildings are original where Nelson is today. Years ago they named this town Eldorado. Yup just like the legend of the lost city of gold! During the western expansion, thousands of people flocked out west to get there piece of the pie. Mining was big during the western Expansion. Primarily silver and gold but there are other types of mines.
By 1863 all sorts of mines were opening up. Among the earlier mines was ,Techatticup Mine. It primarily had gold, silver, lead and copper. There were a lot of disagreements when it came to the ownership and production of the mine. In fact there were plenty of deaths because the wild wild West didn't have law.
Today Nelson houses all sorts of pioneer style buildings, rusted cars. Nelson, as it is known today became its name when a camp leader of one of the mines received uninvited house guest. A renegade Indian took him out.
