I greet you all in good mind and harmony. I am happy and please to write in this community, for this community has shown me much love. well, I will go straight to writing my article today.

When I signed up in this wonderful community, I was asked to download my keys and make sure I have saved them properly.

I was now wondering why I was asked to download and save my keys. I though it was a normal password that I can recall at any time and anywhere, but I never knew that these keys are quite different from each other and they also performed different function which I will be pleased to emphasize on.

WHAT IS A KEY?

A key can be seen as an object which grant you assess to something, it is also an object that has been designed in other to open a lock.

Now this is a general knowledge about keys and how they operate. the keys on the steemit platform is not an exception but the only difference between an object key and the steemit key is that, the object key is designed to open padlocks while the steemit key is programmed to grant one asses to his or her account.

And that is why after signing up your account, you will be asked to save it proper because if misplaced then your account will be lost and there is no possible way to recover your keys back.

The steemit keys are different and they are of different function so for this reason, it is almost impossible for someone to tamper with your account without your knowledge unless that person is in possession of your steemit keys.

The steemit keys comes just like a file and it is a pdf that is to be downloaded in your file folder.

The reason why these keys are placed in one file is to avoid misplacement of keys and that is why it is hard for another person to steal your funds from your steemit account because if that person possess your posting key to login, he will need your active key if he or she want to transfer funds from your account and without it, the mission is likely to be impossible unless you must have disclosed these keys to the person before he can gain access to your funds.

Just like I have mentioned earlier, the steemit blockchain did a brilliant job by providing various keys to perform different actions and that is the main reason our our funds can not be taken away b fraudsters, because if we were been given just a key to our account and which performs all transactions It would have not be funny for all users in the platform.

Now each key is designed for a specific purpose. just the way there are many people working in an organization to attain a specific goal, and by that everyone is connected to one another, same way the blockchain has arranged the keys in an orderly manner and this important in other to protect and guide our funds from hackers.

So that is why when a user leaves his or her steemit account for a long time, when that user arrives bank, he or she will notice that everything is just as the way they were when the user was present.

The keys are important as they help us to perform certain transactions and also without these keys, a person can just come and wipe the asset in our account and that is why the keys to our Steem funds is quite different from the keys to our Tron reward funds. you can see how wonderful the blockchain is and how protective it can be when it comes to a user asset.

It protect the asset so well and provide security that can only be passed when the needed key for a particular transaction is inserted.
