Whats going on bitcoin and alts?

Most of you are surely well aware of BTCs historic run yet again this morning🔥

As you can see, at one point BTC hit $19K+ premium on GDAX (Coinbase) though it traded much lower (~$16k) on most other exchanges. This shows that a lot of the money flowing in is likely new money, as Coinbase is mostly signing up new people to crypto.

This could have made for a nice arbitrage opportunity if you were able to transfer BTC from a cheaper exchange and sell it on Coinbase. Unfortunately due to the speed of the rise, the transaction would not have filled in time to complete the trade since the mempool is backlogged.

As you know, the team is almost exclusively holding BTC right now. We’re not calling a top nor are we making many swing trades, the risk is too high at the moment.

When BTC starts to cool off we will begin to rediversify back into the ALTs we like. For now we’ll make occasional short term trades while BTC is on this run - and keep you posted
