Vesak is Not the Reason For Coming Home

You may think I came home for Vesak vacation. But the truth is I came because of food issues. Since Last Monday they informed curfews. Then the shops also called. On thursday some boarding mates left their homes saying they can't stay anymore. I and only one other stayed as we have exams soon. Mostly the entire week was depend on noodles. In the night sometimes our usual shop was opened and most of the times it was also closed.

Anyhow we spend the week, but when It came to friday we didn't have any options than noodles and other stuffs and I couldn't endure anymore. In the same day night one of my friends who works in Asiri hospital brought me a rice parcel. It was a very very big thing at the moment. We two also decided to come home just because of food issues. But you know highway ticket for Monaragala to colombo is already 2030LKR. Even though it's too much I had to use the way as I hate long bus rides.
Anyhow finally I came home. It's a happiness!

I came and I wanted to solve my problem first. I ate rice and curry with pure taste and I felt like it was after a very long time. While eating I talked, but there was not to share more. Because everyday I share the things with my family. The only thing which surprised me was next door little guy's sudden growth. I saw him in the last month too. But when I saw him yesterday he was like a pig! He is one of the most cutest thing i've ever seen. Even though he is too small he is so smart, cute and wise. When I hear his voice talking to his father I feel so so good. I see and enjoy that father son relationship. It's beautiful.

Making vesak lanterns is something I didn't do in this Vesak. My sisters and amma did the thing. I think this is the only time I didn't participate for it. When the darkness came we lighted them, which only has the meaning of "අටපට්ටම". Otherwise it can't show us the "අනිත්‍ය". Anyway it smiled with happiness. In the evening father suggested us to go to see the "තොරණ"in Hinidikiwula area. But when he said we have to stay for filling the petrol to the car I said no.😥 Sometimes we will be going on tommorow.
