Kathuru Mithuru!(කතුරු මිතුරු)

So after a long period of time I went for a movie again! I saw nice reviews in the face book and since my favourite actors Mahendra Perera and Jayalath Manorathna are in the cast. Both the script and the direction has done by Giriraj Kaushaly who did the Sikuru hathe as well.

This belongs to the Comedy category and it actully meant the word Comedy. I laughed a lot. It's a nice story even though the love couple's acting was not in a satisfactory level. Mahendra Perera, Priyantha Senewirathna, Jayalath Manorthna, Rodney Warnakula did their job really well.

It's story of a friendship between a tailor and a Barber. Both are using a scissor in their job and that's why it's named as Kathuru mithuru. Both the tailor shop and the saloon is situated in the same building and I really like that old builidng with old letter boards for the shop. Specially the saloon reminded me of my childhood when I was sit on a tall chair and cut my hair by the barber uncle whose appearance was similar to Mahendra Perera.

According to my point of view Parents have their own life style they have practiced for years and they are in love with them. For any reason children do not have the right to steal it from them even parents say it's okay. Both the tailor's and barber's facial expressions finally gave that message. Their faces are still in my mind with some heavy thoughts. Mr Jayalath Monorathna is not with us anymore, but the things he did and his great actings will never gone from the Sri Lankan hearts.

Overall it's a nice movie with lot of laughter!
