Handaya!

Since my boy friend's religion is hindu he sometimes go to the kovil in the evening and I sometimes join with him. He says that the place makes him relax. Yesterday evening I thought to join with him. I was not there for worshipping, I was there just to sit and see.

When I was entering to the kovil I saw a cow and her baby son in the garden. I said that I wanted to touch them and at the same time a little child and his father came to them and touched cow. Cow behaved as it was very normal thing to her.

I do not know whether her child is a son or a daughter. But I like to call that baby as a son. Following his mother, baby was also chewing. I sat near them and enjoyed the love between mother and her baby. Sometimes she licked her baby and that baby was enjoying his mother's love and protection.

There was a white colour mark on his forehead and I remembered the name we usually use for that babies. It's Handaya. We also had a Handaya in my home, when I was a child. That sweetest mom and son love made my evening beautiful. Furthermore I saw many people has come there with families and taking photographs as families. Even the babies has wore their traditional dresses. Adult females with various colour sarees and salvars has created a movie scene of a Malayalam or a tamil movie.

Before leaving the Kovil I wanted some pictures to bring as a memory!
