For Making Someone Happy!

Since my friend Sewwandi is a bit religious person she always prefer temples to worship on holidays. on tuesday she was asking whether I was coming with her to go to kelaniya temple on the next day, as it was poya day. I agreed because I wanted to make her happy. She had an another complaint that she was fed up with eating foods from shops. So I prepared lunch for her in my boarding on poya day. As discussed we left for kelaniya temple in the evening, with two other batch mates.

It was very crowded on the day, which remembered my childhood journeys filled with joy and no religious feelings at all. It looked like a small festival with various foods, apple type balloons, and toys rather than a temple. We had to spent sometime in the ques to go inside and worship. After worshipping stupa and Buddha statue we went near the Kelani river.

There they have arranged boat rides for 200LKR for each person. I was willing to go but I have to stop as others disagreed with the idea. I was also got afraid then when I saw the dark sky and the life saving kits.

There are two temples besides the river and the temple which was situated at the other side was the actual place where Lord Buddha came.( According to Sewwandi) Due to that reason she wanted to go to that temple by crossing the kelani bridge. I was doing the job of her photographer as well. Finally visiting and worshiping two temples we headed back to bus station.

They took the bus and I went to my sister's university and for many other things!
