A Wedding Day!

Lakmal is my classmate since grade 6. When I and other friends got the invitation card of his wedding I was really surprised. Because I never thought that he was going to marry soon. He is my friend, he is a good man, he is my boarding neighbour, he found this boarding place for me and he was one of my brothers since childhood and there were so many reasons to be a part of his wedding. As soon as I got his invitation, I called Sahan and shared my excitement. Then I planned about someone's wedding!😅

Actually I had a very big plan and a hope for this wedding.After many years um attending someone's wedding and that someone is one of my best friends. As it was held in Kaluthara all the friends in colombo decided to gather and go. But um so sad to say all the plans were vanished except going for the wedding.

31st of October was the wedding day.I couldn't able to come colombo till 31st morning, as I was sick at home. On the previous day also I felt like I can't go, as I felt um so weak to travel, but anyhow I came early in the morning from home and reached colombo at 9.30. Sahan was at the Kotuwa station waiting for me.

Finally Sahan and me were the only participants. Many friends had their plans to come, but they couldn't. If I missed the day, my friend would felt like he was alone on his special day. That's the reason which made me to come. Finally we could reach to Kaluthara at 12 noon and changed the dress at the same hotel where the wedding was happening.

Nothing happened according to my plans but um so happy I could be a part of my friend's wedding. After spending 2-3 hours there I said good bye to my friend, as I wanted to come back to colombo. I always love to travel by train and it's better if we had many friends sitting in the train. Anyhow we enjoyed a lot during travelling by train, than in the wedding!

It was an extremely beautiful day!
