BullCoin : Another Potential Crypto Fraud Emanating from India

in #prameshtyagi8 years ago

With the rise of popularity of Crypto assets - some cheats are taking advnatge of gullible investors/public all across world. In India this trend is on rise as many cases are already busted by Alert Delhi Police as summarized in earlier post DCP Bhisham Singh Puts an End to Various Fraudulent Cryptocurrency Rackets in India

I see one more potential fraud in this space from India. Its name is BullCoin. It is projected as pos based blochchain enabled cryptocurrency. Its currenct rate on their website is appx 2US$.

Now what raises suspecion:

  1. It is not listed on coinmarketcap. It is world famous website to list reasonably genuine crypto projects
  2. The link to blockexplorer from their web give a link that shows last transaction was done 20 days back with only 10 transactions. And these transactions are same all the time. That means the blockchain is not live.
  3. Their blog is empty
  4. There is no team listed on their website
  5. There is no address
  6. Web wallet link does not work
  7. Their login/registration page seems to work from link bullblock. Although I did not register

There is no other way to buy or sell this coin. There is no information about if it is registered on any exchange.

All observation above indicate that it is a fraud.

Good post, I think investors need to be more aware about their investment rather than falling victim.

In india many people trick other innocent people in the name of investment in cryptocurrency. You have mentioned one of the example. In today's times of india newspaper. A woman duped for Rs 45 Lakh bitcoin fraud. It was one of the largest scam . You can read it on today's newspaper.

I just read the story - https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/delhi/bitcoins-worth-rs-41l-stolen-from-womans-e-wallet-account/articleshow/63372882.cms

It is different kind of fraud and also very much prevalent.

But this lady seems to have no brain for being duped two times.
