My anecdote

Have you ever been to the zoo? I believed that everyone have been there once in your life. Today, I want to tell you about the moment when I saw a hippotamus for the first time.
I’ve lived with my mother since my father passed away. I always miss him especially when I need someone to be by my side. He is a kind and funny person. He loved driving. He liked to take me and my mother to visit new places. For example, an amusement park, the beach, and a water park. At that time, I have quality time with my family. I didn’t remember much about my father because he died when I was 5 years old. Anyway, I still remember one moment that I spent with him and my mother. That is the moment when I saw the hippotamus at the zoo.
This is the good moment that makes me smile and feel good every time when I think about it. We are looking at hippotamuses in the cage. It’s the first time for me. My father has to hold me up to see it clearly. I am not afraid of it like other kids. Maybe the reason is I was in his arms and my mother stood beside us. So I felt safe. There is nothing to fear when I was with my parents. We saw some hippotamus eating their food and some of them are swimming. I was very excited to see this animal. I saw their pink tongue and some of their teeth when they open their big mouth to eat food. I really like the pink color in their mouth. It’s very cute. I don’t know why but many girls like pink, so do I. Moreover, I like their short legs. When they use their short leg to swim, they moved slowly and lightly. My father saw the hippotamus’s baby then he pointed it out to me. The baby hippotamas was very small and adorable. My father said “It is like a watermelon with short legs and can swim in the water”. I agreed with him but my mother was laughing to us. She said my father has an over active imagination. We had a funny conversation while looking at the hippotamus. I was very happy at that moment because I spent time together with my family. Shortly after, my father was sick. So we did not go out together much. Now, every time when I see the pictures of a zoo, I will think of this moment. And also think that other children who went to the zoo with their family might have a good moment in their life too.
This moment reminds me about the feeling when my family were together. I want to remember a happy moment of me and my parents, especially my father. This is one moment that I can remember him clearly, the feeling when I was in his arms, I felt comforted and relax. Moreover, I have my mother in this moment too.
