TRUSTING GOD

Trusting God does not mean Carelessness or lack of interest. Carried away heedlessly with the tide is not Trust. Negligent of responsibility is not trust, It is not a happen-so or maybe-so. It is a definite attitude of soul and mind; Trust is a realization of our own need and of GOD’S Sufficiency. It is the reaching out and anchoring of ourselves in God. Trust is a firm belief in the reliability of GOD to handle every Challenge of our lives

Proverbs 3:5-8

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. (NIV)

Matthew 6:31-34

31 Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’

32 For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

33 But [a]seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (NASB)

Trusting a kind shepherd: In the bible there are several pictures of this dependent trust we have in God. Perhaps the most graphic, and frequent, is that of the shepherd and his sheep. We, the sheep, trust God our shepherd, and follow wherever he might lead. For he looks after us, keeps us from danger, and guides us into good pasture.

Psalms 23:1- 4

1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me;

your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (NIV)

GOD AS OUR ROCK OR FORTIFIED CITY

Psalm 27:1-3

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.

3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. (NIV)

ACTIVE TRUST

Our trust in God is not always passive. Sometimes it is dynamic. There moments in our lives when we have choices to make and our action must be deliberate and determined. In different ways, David and Moses found the need for his immediate trust in God

1 Samuel 17: 40-47

40 And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.

41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.

42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.

43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.

45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

46 This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's,
and he will give you into our hands. (KJV)

SUBMIT your heart in full obedience to GOD.

Your understanding maybe wrong some of the times. Seek the knowledge of he who knows ALL Things.

Acknowledgement is an act of recognizing God’s full Lordship in our lives. Let’s invite him in every area of our lives.

God is the Ultimate Knower so depend on him.

Trusting the Lord helps you live a stress-free life.

Ps 20:7-8, Says:

• 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.*

8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. (NIV)

GOD HAS A BLESS-ABLE PATH. WHEN WE CHOOSE TO TRUST HIM, LEAN ON HIM, AND ACKNOWLEDGE HIM,
HIS PATH BECOMES CLEAR. GOD DOESN’T BLESS OUR PATH RATHER HE BLESSES HIS PATH AND INVITE US TO WORK ON IT.
