THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE.

Mark 5:25-34 (KJV)

25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

The story is about a woman with an issue of blood for 12 years who came to Jesus. Yours may not may not be an issue of blood but surely you have an issue. If you don’t have issues, you cant have experience, therefore you need to squarely face problems, not escape them. If you don’t face problems, you cannot have victory.

It is when you have victory over problems that Satan will respect you. The seven sons of Sceva did not have experience of problems nor victory, so the demons asked them “Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you”?

The woman with the issue of blood had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. Her breakthrough came because she had faith. The woman had:

1. FAITH TO DISCERN

She realized her error of depending on man or her money. She realized the solution was in Jesus Christ. Although a great multitude followed and thronged Jesus Christ, this woman stood out in her faith. Oh, she discerned that Jesus Christ was the answer! For she said, “If only I may touch his clothes, I shall be made well”.

1. FAITH TO DECIDE

Many people discern, they toy with ideas of what to do in their mind but end up doing nothing. Not this woman, she made up her mind. Her decision was a very costly one. In her health condition, she was not supposed to be seen in public. She therefore decided to take the risk. If you want to follow Jesus Christ, you cant play safe. You must burn the bridge and damn the consequences!

1. FAITH TO DISCOVER

The woman not only discerned, she did not only decide, she exercised her faith to discover the Miracle-working power of Jesus Christ. She followed up her dream with a resolute action. She touched HIS clothes! You cant sit on the fence and expect a miracle. You need to step out in faith.

You will see from this woman’s case that Jesus Christ did not know the issue of the woman but the woman with the issue stepped out in faith and touched the hem of His garment.

Whatever be the issue, you also can step out in faith and discover the wonder-working power of GOD. You also shall be made well, in Jesus name.
