OBEDIENCE, THE YARDSTICK OF LOVE.

On day my late father preacher told a story from the pulpit as he preached.
He told us that a man was riding on his bike with his sited at the back.
The man didn't know what got into his wife's head and she said to the husband,
"Darling I love you." The husband pretended he did not hear what the wife said and kept the ride. For a second time the wife shouted and said, "darling I love you, I love you".
No respond from the husband as he kept riding on with wife sited at the back of the Bike. For the third time the wife shouted, " Darling I love you, I love you, I love you"! This time the husband responded and said, " Darling show it, show it, show it". Although He did not tell us the area the husband would like the wife to show him the love. LOVE Is Show able
Here is what Jesus told his disciples. Please read on.
John 14:15 (KJV)
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
In other words, if you love Jesus Christ; you will obey his commandments.
Our obedience to God's word is directly proportional to our LOVE to HIM.
Obeying his commandments is a bye product of our LOVE for HIM
Note:
If you truly LOVE God obeying his words flows naturally from that LOVE relationship.
Obedience to GOD has to be TOTAL or nothing.
John 3:16 (NIV):
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
LOVE is demonstrable. LOVE in conduct. LOVE in Action. No action, No LOVE. No LOVE no Action. QED.
Do you LOVE Jesus Christ??? Come on show it that the World may know.
God Demonstrates His Love Toward Us
Romans 5:8 (KJV):
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Right! How do we show God we love him?
1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
Remember we can't have faith alone but because of our faith in Him we still must show him obedience!
James 2:18 - But someone will say You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works.
