It shouldn't be like that, it has to be unlocked by the company no matter what. The 90 day thing is BS if the phone was fully paid off than you should be able to unlock it online by them. [Unlock] (https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/request/#/unlockstep1)
that is the site i used and it says that the phone has to be used with ATT service first for either 60 or 90 days i dont remember. But it is a go phone and i paid it off by buying it for $60 I thought.
