Please join me for a ski run in celebration of my 17th year skiing with a free heel! I started in tele skiing in Jackson Hole in the 2000/01 winter season and absolutely fell in love with the sport. It is such a graceful way to dance with the mountain. Look me up if you ever want a lesson or to just go poach some lines together :)

How fun that you Telemark! Congratulations on 17 years! I seriously beat you with ten years, no wonder my knees make squeaking sounds when I walk... I might beat you because I'm very old or because I started very young... I've learned that the Norwegian technique is different from the American, and I can see that in the video, looks great by the way!

I agree! I love it and I've been a total Telemark maniac since I started. I think we both should thank Sondre Norheim who invented the heel cap binding and the intro to modern skiing :) Helen
Cool! It looks like Sondre also should get credit for introducing the curved ski that eventually led to the parabolic ski design.
I guess he should! It might not be a surprise that Sondre came from the Norwegian region Telemark🤩
