Hello, my name is Carlos Portillo Visual Arts student at the Universidad de los Andes Mérida Greetings with pleasure from Venezuela, I was able to access this great community thanks to my friend @jesusman12, for his great admiration for his musical work. My interest in this site is to be able to share with you my contemporary artistic work; focusing especially on painting and drawing encompassing a series of mixed techniques that enrich my personal work, generating a language of its own but without forgetting the references (jean michel basquiat, jorge pizzani, georg baselitz, Ernst Ludwig kirchner ...) that have been of great help for my plastic production. For a year ago I want to represent, through drawings and paintings, characters, analyzing the main topic of conversation that surrounds us Venezuelans "The Country Situation", which unfortunately includes the scarcity of primordial foods, delinquency, a subject of great volume and which has us paranoid in every corner of our country, all this influence in my works notoriously generating a kind of chaos and lines scattered within space and format, applying in these contrasting colors to create balance and a better reading. In short, little by little you will know about me and you will know more details of my work, I am very happy to share an important part of my life with everyone! In the workshop!
