Well, first of all, I would like to tell you a short story about why I'm launching this contest today.

Yesterday, I've been scrolling deep down through the "new tab" feed all day long in search for little minnows and new authors to read & support. At the end, unfortunately, all this activity could only produce me a big balls ache. Through all this journey I could confirm the new trend where nobody here is currently reading, voting, interacting & commenting on noob's articles no more. Well, as a matter of fact, looks like after the HF19 nobody is actually voting and rewarding anything else but themselves and their own stuff only.

I even saw this trend also were happening on my own home feed which is only feeded and filled by the splendid content of prominent articles from the well selected and very prolific steemians I follow.

So... ¿How discouraging & demoralizing that can be? ¿Huh? Yes! ¡You tell me!

I've chosen a friday, a Friday's Night indeed to launch this contest. ¿Why? ¡Simple! ..because I guess that only Newbies, Little Minnows and all those who are just starting on this platform in search of growing up, being noticed and hoping to earn followers and greater reputation & visibility on steemit will be the active ones interested in participating in this contest.

¿Why am I not already putting a good amount of my own Steem/SBD in the jackpot beforehand to encourage you more and allure you to participate with greater enthusiasm on this contest?

Well, my answer to this question may look pretty obvious. Besides the fact that I am also just a tiny powerless minnow same as you, despite of have been taking almost a year of struggle to raise just a bit my reputation, number of followers and earnings in the platform and so on.

So, in brief, my short answer is that in these current times of shortage of votes to pump up the rewards on our content, usually only provided by the big whales and heavy upvotes of the high SP shareholders and that now more than ever they are refraining from voting. We will have no choice but to unite ourselves together and build collectively our own modest pool of wealth to reward each other although this must be penny to penny.
