Softness of "Durian Martabak" Which Tempts the Tongue

For you culinary lovers who are in the North Aceh region, it seems incomplete if you do not try to visit one of the shop located in Geudong Market, Samudera Regency. This stall is located on the edge of the Medan - Banda Aceh national road. The name of the shop is "Martabak Durian Samudera Pasee''.

One of the favorite menus in this place is "Martabak Durian". According to one worker at this shop, this place has been established since 1981 and is the first shop in Aceh to provide "Martabak Durian". "Martabak Durian" is one menu that is very different from other martabak. Because in general martabak in Aceh is made with egg contents.

While this "Martabak Durian" is made with the contents of durian meat. Its appearance is also very different from martabak eggs. In addition, the aroma of durian baked along with sugar cane is also very tempting tongue. This outdoor menu package is made from flour dough which is specially processed. Flour which is an outer package is called "rolling". While the contents are durian dough which has been processed with sugar, corn flour, salt, and water. This is what distinguishes this martabak from other martabak types.

Durian used is durian whic harvested from durian plantations in the Aceh region. So it feels very identical and distinctive. This menu is cooked by baking it on a circle made of iron. The buffering process usually takes about 7 to 10 minutes. When it's cooked, the fragrant taste of the durian feels so strong.

If the outer layer is opened, you will see a durian dough melting which is very tempting to the tongue. It tastes very good, tasty and delicious. This combination of roll and durian dough is a certain attraction when you enjoy it slowly. This menu is perfect for eating cold tea drink.

This stall is open 24 hours / day. So, you can visit anytime during opening hours. Durian Martabak is very suitable for consumption in a distended stomach at night. The price of one portion of "Martabak Durian" is around Rp. 7,000. This includes very cheap and economical prices.

Although the presentation looks very simple, it is guaranteed hygienic. This place is a rectangular building made of concrete. This area can accommodate up to 50 customers. Because of its strategic location, this shop is always crowded with buyers. Within a day, the owner can sell "Martabak Durian" up to 500 packs.

Buyers are not only from North Aceh, but there are also those from outside the district.

On holidays usually this place is always visited by tourists to enjoy this unique cuisine. Usually they buy "Martabak Durian" to take home as a gift to be given to their family and the closest person.
