Relax and .. ........ attend a concert

It was at the popular Harvest house christian center in Ibadan. It is my friend's church and she invited me , coincidentally it is the same church steemian @olawalium attends, I do not know if there were other steemians present but it was a wonderful gathering of young people.

Why did this concert make so much sense?

• It is few days after valentine and love is still very much in the season. The songs rendered by the singers attested to this. Beautiful renditions that make you appreciate music.

• There were talk sessions and listening to what the speakers had to say, I realized that I wasn't alone when it comes to relating terrible work experience.

One of the speakers mentioned how she had to work in a frustrating environment for over a year in Lagos without pay. In my own case, I worked for almost a year and I had never been more frustrated in my life. I got paid stipends actually but I was dying inside..I was too physically exhausted from working that I couldn't write or post on my blog. I was also emotionally exhausted from fighting of the hostile treatment I got from work having refused to compromise with any of my bosses. The same way the speaker knew the time had come for her to quit was the same way I knew I had to quit. I did the seemingly craziest thing then, I quit. You don't know how happy I am that I did.

• Another speaker said something about committment and doing good... I don't know if something must have inspired it as a kid but I've grown to realize that I like to give my best to whatever I set out to do. As long as I'm interested..I'm totally in, even if there is no monetary gain for me. Like the speaker said, doing good, is good business.

Attending great programs such as a concert is good for relaxation and for growth all round.
