The realists have not covered themselves in glory with this conflict.

Just for the sake of diversity I've been reading her pieces throughout the Russian invasion. She's written the same thing over and over again since the beginning. She has to make up her mind- half her pieces talk about Ukrainian escalation and half her pieces talk about how Ukraine should sue for peace in a stalemate. It can't be both.

My test for folks like her and Mearsheimer has been to see if they adjust to new information. Mearsheimer's views basically pretend like we are still in 2014.

Allusions to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan lose me with these folks. It is Ukraine defending itself here. They are the ones that will suffer the consequences of settlements with Russia.
