@polebird: ✨ Photographing the art of movement ✨
Here's my entry to @jasonrussell's portrait contest - theme is MOVEMENT! I thought it fitting to post a photograph I took of my friend @ginjapoleartist during our experimental pole photoshoot.
Pole is all about the art of movement.
Being able to combine my two passions of pole and photography is so special! What better way to get the creativity going? Plus, I also get to play the part of model as well! :D
I'm also super excited because spring time is almost here - which means, it's almost time for more outdoor (and maybe some indoor?) pole shoots.
I've been brainstorming ideas and concepts all winter, so hopefully we get to play around with photography soon! Thanks for stopping by my friends!

You clearly have been working hard to add to your bag of pole tricks so I am excited to see how you choose to capture your hard work in images when the art form is filled with so much movement. I'm venturing back outside as the sun been sticking around long enough these days to keep the temperatures from stopping my outdoor endeavors. I was crawling around on rocks surrounding a frozen pond last week as I'm very haphazardly learning about photography by playing with the professional mode on my phone while also getting in my favorite exercise, trail hiking.
heyyy my friend!!! yes you are totally correct about that, hahah each time I learn a new trick.. I'm making a mental note haha to maybe see if I can attempt it in my next experimental shoot. I'm glad you got some sunshine~and some photography experimenting in while you are out!

Looking forward to seeing what you get up to photography-wise! Such a great subject to get into, especially coming from someone who is as into pole work as you are. I really think that properly understanding WHAT you're photographing is half the challenge!
