@polebird: 💪 Candy cane progress - One armed spin - Dtube pole combo 💪
The candy cane spin also known as a dislocater (lol, yikes right?) by some polers is a dynamic spin on static pole where you rely mostly on one arm to hold the pole. This move really requires shoulder engagement and pulling down through the back in order to get a bit of lift off each step.

When I first saw and learned of this trick, I thought the instructor was just prancing and kind of skipping around the pole. When I realized that the bounce in the step was actually from the arm and shoulder engagement, I started to practice towards gaining the strength to do it. At the time, I didn't quite have the ability. I've been trying to use this particular spin for warm up consistently during classes to gain a better pull down the arm. The timing of the kick is also important for this trick, and has been a work in progress. Candy canes are quite versatile and can be connected to tricks such as the handspring or reiko split. Next up on my list is the aerial candy cane ( up on the pole!). Thanks for watching!

Very athletic!.
Does anyone use a hand strap to connect to the pole?
It would make 'spinning' around the pole friction-less'ish
I have no idea if it would/could work!
Thanks for video post. Oh to be young again
ooo hmm heheh so you could pop the pole itself on spinner and it becomes "frictionless." That would be an interesting idea on static! Thank you :)
Yea that would work.
Haha yeah that’s actually how the spinner mechanism kind of works I believe for some brands of poles. There’s a screw at the bottom that you can tighten to change it from spinner to static mode. Maybe so!!! :)
Haha and I wish I invented little bits of yellow paper with a sticky edge!
heheh thank you!! hmmmm Im trying to imagine it you are definitely very creative! that would totally make it interesting to fly around!!
Nice pole trick.
thanks my friend! :) really appreciate your constant support!
Nice.....
thanks!
