What can I tell you about promoting music? A lot first would be to be well rounded with your audience not just advertising. Advertising is vital but it's better to attract a more warm audience. Spamming is aggravating it's like taking a big shit on somebody and trying to get them to like you.

Sometimes you do get a few leads here and there but you don't want to go through that unless your banking money already. Otherwise you would be occupied with copy and pasting. What you should do is advertise less and communicate with warm people more. What I mean by warm is people that know you or of you, someone who is warm is interested in your brand somehow. Someone who is cold is someone who doesn't know you or your business and more then likely would reject your offer.

Facebook is ok but now a days the world is changing you would need to be on multiple sites your on a good one now. Instagram is a good place to start advertising and posting pictures of album work etc. Going live and producing music on your channels is a good way to get people into you, people love to watch stuff like that. Glad to see a platform like that on Steemit will be real helpful for a lot of people.

YouTube is a major plus where as you would want to work on commenting others and getting subscriber's that way. You can monetize on there and make extra cash on the platform. Network with other people on YouTube by liking, commenting, and developing relationships.

Soundcloud for some don't know can be monetized as well as being a good network add on for your brand. It's good to promote your Soundcloud music on fb groups like "Soundcloud Music Group". A lot of people like to promote their self by promoting others on posts and networking through that way.

Twitter is a good place to advertise constantly a lot of other places like communeit can generate your posts at a fast rate. Twitter is good to network and find people that would do collaborations. Just have to find good ways around that system to make it work for you.

Your own website is the best way to promote yourself on the internet because it shows your serious and there's a lot of plugins and corporations that can expand S.E.O for you or you could do it yourself. S.E.O is search engine optimization it's based on keywords that people search for on the internet that can help lead them to you. Which works for pretty much every system that have "tags" and "keywords" listed on their site. As a music producer a website is the most important function for your business and is your own.

Let's not forget about Musicoin which will be very beneficial later on this year, doesn't seem like much right now but soon they'll be a lot more in value. The future of music is bright for anyone who can keep a good audience and make good music as it should've been a long time ago now people can get paid for their craft without a piece of paper.

Agree, powerful stuff in this post 👌
I would add Snapchat to this list, I think it's underrated how much engagement you can get by just posting your working process or updates into Story.

Great point man was going to mention snap chat thanks for your comment

Valuable points dear @polarbeats :) I promoted artists for many years before social media was around. My Space changed a lot for artists and the rest is history......My job as agent, mgmt etc ....supporting musicians, building direct!!!! contacts for zillion of years, went down the drain :)

I know that must've been hard for you now a days a lot of things have changed for music you should get back into it

Good points @polarbeat. I'm sure you have tried Spotify, right? In most cases, it takes time for people to recognize great talent. I love Spotify because its algorithm connects users with lesser known artists. In the meanwhile, you could work in improving your branding and marketing strategies.

All the above mentioned platforms are great, however if you don't target your consumers correctly, you will lose on market penetration. At the end, whichever platform you choose, stick to it and do a banging job! Perhaps a personal approach would be the solution when you're trying to reach out to your audience such as videos introducing yourself and such.

Right I love to use live videos to get ears and connect with others yeah im on spotify which is a great tool for artists and in basics of marketing telling thousands pf others at one time
