Good day my fellow blockchain friends!
Today was a long but good day! And a cold one! Brrrrr! Still pretty nice weather to do some crafting!
This time my mom and I picked out a project with some wool!
Make your own woven ornament!
We bought these two sets at the Action! A marvelous store where you will never leave without buying half the store or more! We paid 1,49 Euro per set, which is nothing to sneeze at! Inside the box we found: 3 colors wool, a ribbon, a plywood ring, 2 colors thick wool, white yarn, and a plastic needle!
Right away, it reminded me of the little spider webs I made when I was a kid. You found yourself a few chestnuts and stuck a few tootpicks in it and started to wave around it with yarn. Anyways, I got frustrated right away because I had a itchy nose from the wool! HATJOEEEE!!! Bless me!
The back of the box holds a few pictures of how to do this but it was really simple from the start! Probably because I have woven many times in my life!
At this point I was kinda done! WHY? For some reason, both mom and I, did not really enjoy doing it! While it already started to look cool, we really had no fun doing it! This is just our own opinion about a craft so other might really enjoy doing it! Because I was kinda done already I started to play around and tried to stick the needle in my finger! The tip is sharp but was not sharp enough to pierce my skin! Good to know when you want to do this with kids!
Maybe the thick wool should have been replaced with normal wool because it was really hard to use and broke of if you pulled it just a little. This was frustrating but also nice to use because it covers a lot of space! This is GREAT if you want to finish quick! LOL!
I finished just 10 minutes ago with the last color! I do LOVE how it looks but I did not like creating it! While we had fun because we did it together, we will not buy more of these. Over all I think the box is great! It's cheap and will give you lots to do on a boring evening! There was more than enough wool and yarn and the frame is made out of strong wood so it does not break easy! All in all, A great project if you enjoy this kind of crafting!

It's too bad you didn't enjoy the activity. 1,49 Euro is pretty cheap for a few hours of crafts. Seems like a good way to spend time with your mom nonetheless and the finished product is pretty cool

I imagine it was a great disappointment for you, you expect to enjoy while doing this craft. You can see that with it you can kill boredom, or just for fun, and at a good price!
