As you may or may not know, I'm always thinking...
I think it's a Curse...
Anyway...
We are allowed 10, 100% Up-Votes per day...
Multiply 10 X 100% and you get 1,000%...
Some of you like to leave a 5% up-vote, leaving you with 995% to pass out to yourself or others...
Right now, The Silver Mermaid is passing out up-votes according to Tier Levels...
As it is now, it takes a certain number of Delegations or Liquid Steem for each of the Tiers...
The numbers will change every month, but let's just say we have 200 Current Members...
The Silver Mermaid is allowed to pass out 1,000% per day to hold onto the Voting Power...
3 points for each Member, times 200 Members equals 600 points spoken for...
How about a certain amount of Delegations or Liquid Steem for each of the remaining 400 percentage points...???
The numbers will Fluctuate and Change every Month according to how many members we have...
In other words, how much is a single 1 percent up-vote worth, and how much should be required to obtain it...???
Some people might want to "obtain" and extra 5, and others may want to "obtain" an extra 37...
Consider 3 plus an extra 37 being the Maximum amount any one Member may obtain to total 40...
Everyone, including those who choose not to use Delegations or Liquid Steem will continue to get 3, which may tend to Fluctuate from Month to Month...
Just some food for thought...
We have One Thousand to Work with, on a Daily Basis...
40 percent, out of the 1,000 available per day, can safely be passed out "each hour" to maintain the highest possible up-vote amounts between 98 and 100 Power...
So, with 200 Members getting at least 3 each, equals 600, with the other 400 left over for an additional amount per percentage point...
Each additional point from the left over 400, in which a person might want, will be whatever The Silver Mermaid thinks is a fair amount of Delegations or Liquid Steem...
There are other possibilities which might say 500 of the 1,000 goes to Members, with the remaining 500 to be obtained with a "reasonable" amount of Delegations or Liquid Steem...
Let me know if any of this makes sense to you...

Everyone is all Hyped up about the New Steem Silver Round at the moment... It's crossed my mind a time or two, but I have this New Invention I'm working on... I actually just finished the Proto-Type, and "it works"... lol... Now that it's done, I'm re-drawing all the Parts and Instructions... I'll be sending it all in to a Group of Experts in the Field of obtaining Patents... So, how much Steem do you think it would take to get the ball rolling, to make the Finished One Ounce Silver Rounds you speak of...???
Not too much. 10 Steem would make plenty of one oz button coins. I know a good silversmith - all cryptographic tx. We should use the bitSilver, if you are open to it I think you'll appreciate it.
I'm able to donate Steem Dollars, but I won't be expecting anything in return... I have my Secret Identity to protect... lol...
I don't think you should be calling them Coins... Calling them One Ounce Button Rounds would be much better...

I sure wouldn't want to accept Paper Promises... As people love saying... ...If you don't hold it, you don't own it"... It's hard to beat the Coin of a Nation... If my Theory is implemented, U.S. Trade Dollars can be used to Purchase Silver Rounds... Then there might be U.S. Crypto's activated... Who would be issuing the Promissory Notes...???

I know how you feel... It's all good... I like to Scatter "fish food" for all the Minnows trying to make their way up the River or out to Sea... As I said above, I probably think way too much...
The first goal is to get to 50. Most of the decisions get done in DIscord, as posts do not get much traffic and read/ comments attached.
I just like planting seeds and passing out up-votes... I've been experimenting with upvote power... It's hard for me, because I can only pass out 10 upvotes per day... A Bot can be Programmed to pass out 40% of the 1,000% per hour to maintain the highest possible amounts...
I thought when you get to 50, you can fluctuate your voting power instead of being limited to only using 100%?
I was under the impression we need 500 Steem Power to get the percentage "slider"... A tool used to adjust the up-votes you pass out... I currently have no slider...

As for what @rollingthunder said with regards to only the "upper ranked members" can make decisions. That's not true! There are 180+ members of steemsilvergold and every member has exactly the same voting weight in our community. If you've been a member for a month or a year, your voice/opinion counts exactly the same.
In fact, I personally encourage every member to speak up. If you're not happy we can also change things up, but if no one speaks up nothing will ever change.
Ohh yeah, I'll pass your suggestion on and see what comes back. But I think, forgive me it's only my first day with the figures, we do something very similar to what I think you're suggesting already.
Delegation is preferred as it's more sustainable, but @ssg-community offers the opportunity to buy a vote with a current conversion rate of 4.5 steem delegation per 1 liquid steem.
I think you're suggesting we break down everyone upvote % based on an individuals contribution? The only draw back would be 180+ members having random % upvote and someone (ie ME) would need to manually record/keep/maitain/program ssg-community for everyone. Keeping it and 4 Tiers makes it easier to maintain. But if you feel we need smaller tier buy-in or more, please bring it up in a post and added to the next @ssg-community post.

During the course of a Day, all of us have a Total of About 1,000% in Up-Voting Power that we can use each day as long as we stay within the Maximum up-votes we're allowed each day... Let's say, I was the first person you up-voted today... Let's say you gave me a 100 Percent Up-Vote... You'd still have 900% to use during the rest of the day... Some people, you may only want to give a 5% up-vote... Anyway, we all have about 1,000% per day to pass out, be it to ourselves, others or both... I figure, if we don't use them, we lose them...
I never lose one, but what do we do? Vote each other?
When you find Great Content, give them a Bigger Up-Vote... You give what you feel is Right... I'm usually more interested in getting Comments like yours... Naturally, everyone wants to have Bigger and Better Up-Votes to pass out... People will Flock to you if you're passing out Big Up-Votes... So, just do what your Heart tells you to do...
I'm French so I vote French because I read more FR content than English but then I watch a lot of stream right now and I vote English content that I like

Brother pockets - just an update; my Steemit account 'value' is down from $1,500++ dipping all the way down now below $300 to $296. I am certain it will go to $0. The entire premise of doing (writing) effectively nothing in order to earn something is inherently flawed as evident in the true value steadily moving toward zero.
Perhaps word is getting our about the possible, new future U.S. Crypto... I'm thinking U.S. Crypto-Dollars and Cents will make all the other Crypto's crash in Value...
