Today, I love Facebook
Before you judge me, hear me out!
Since I found Steemit, I have cut back on Facebook time a lot. I actually hardly visit anymore. I mainly use it as an extra promotion channel for my two blogs. Sometimes, I quickly scroll through it, but I mostly see some of the recipes from the food channels I'm following.
Today, I scrolled through Facebook again. One of my former co-workers just cicled alp d'huez, which is pretty impressive. I also saw some food posts.
Then it happened!
As I was scrolling further down, I noticed a post with a picture of one of my favorite bands: Breaking Benjamin. It was a post from one of the concert venues in the Netherlands. Utrecht to be precise. That might not tell you much, but compared to most others, Utrecht is relatively close. Most rock bands just go to the far south of the country.
Now Breaking Benjamin hardly ever visits Europe. They only did this once before, because the lead singer does not want to fly. He went by boat last time and I missed it. I only heard about their visit to Europe after it happened. I was so sad, because I had wanted to see them live for ages! And now this post on Facebook tells me they're coming back!
My lucky day!
Ticket sales started today. Apparently, 3/4 of the tickets got sold within the first hour. So I'm pretty lucky I noticed this post today, otherwise they might have already sold out!
I bought two tickets and am very happy to tell you that on the 22nd of august, we will be seeing Breaking Benjamin live! I'm very excited!

Yay, I'm happy for you. Glad you get to see your favourite band live. I understand what it's like to miss out on concerts. Most of the bands that tour only go to the largest city in our country (New Zealand) and it's very expensive to travel there so we miss out on a lot.
I hope that you enjoy the concert.
Aww that is a shame! I used to miss out on a lot of concerts, because the only way I could get there was by train. They'd be on weekdays and the last train back wasn't late enough, so I had not choice but to miss out.

I don't really enjoy Facebook, besides the occassional scrolling through my feed. Steemit seems more interactive, or well... that's not really it. Interestingly interactive maybe? I do stick with Facebook aswell, because of friends and family.
President Duterte's supporters are all there..if i can get a few here in steemit..that will be cool. We only need 1 social media warrior in steemit and everyone will follow. I hope!
Definitely! I think that's what happened when that financial guy came over to here about a month ago (don't know his name...) with both his videos and his followers.

i hope that can happen for us too. Our soc med warriors got loads of followers each. there's one supporter i invited..sign-up now takes forever.
It didn't take that long for my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago, but I did indeed see a few posts lately, complaining about sign-up issues :-(

Breaking Benjamin. I cannot even explain in mere mortal words how much I love him/them!!! He seems so fragile, like he could break into a gazillion pieces, yet he is as "intense as the cling of the sun to the lips of the earth."
