Day 2 - Jungle Dome

in #travel9 years ago

I promised you I'd show you these pictures!

Day 3 has come and gone, but seeing as it was my monthly Blegh-day, we were mostly at the cottage with my stomach ache and low energy. So instead of boring you with that, I'll show you the Jungle Dome pictures I took on day 2.

The Jungle Dome is a seperate building on the park.

It opens late in the morning and closes at the end of the afternoon.

There are plenty of fun places to play and discover for children.

Heck, even big children like myself can crawl into caves!

You can also climb up into the rope bridges higher up.

There's a terrace where you can eat and drink a bit.

There are also a lot of different birds flying around.

They are really beautiful and colorful!

And as you might have already seen in my picture from yesterday, there are also fish!

IMG_20171219_103715 (Medium).jpg

It's a great place to walk around in.

I love these kind of environments.

The best thing about this jungle dome is that you can rent a room inside it! You'll have a room at the edge of the dome and you can walk around in there after closing time. You'll have lunch on your porch with birds flying around. How cool is that? We might do that next time we go here!

Hope you liked the little tour!

Wow ! What a beautiful place !! Great photo dear @playfulfoodie !

Thank you very much! Yes, I love these kinds of places. It was a lot of fun walking around there and taking pictures :D

Congratulation for you ! Hope you enjoyed a lot !!

Where abouts is this? It kind of reminds me of Laos

It's at the vacation park we went to, here in the Netherlands. Definitely not a usual outside environment around these parts, so they create them inside :-)

I would never have guessed this was in The Netherlands! Might be a little spot for me to check out when I eventually make my way back through Europe. I've never actually been to The Netherlands before so it could be somewhere else to check out other than the obvious choice Amsterdam...

Oh yes, the Netherlands definitely have more to offer than Amsterdam. I'm not much of a city goer, so I usually go for nature instead. This was at a Center Parcs vacation park. They have cottages in the middle of the usual Dutch nature, but their centers are usually filled with jungle trees (not all of them though, some have different themes).

This particular one had the seperate Jungle Dome building where I took these pictures. You can even rent a room there so you can walk around in the building after closing time, which I really want to do some day!

I'm the same. Cities don't really appeal to me. I went to a Centre Parcs in England once when I was about 14. It was unexpectedly good, especially as I was a teenager! I think if I went back now though I'd enjoy it a whole lot more because it is the kind of thing I am really into.

How much are the rooms? Are they a fair price or is it just a one day jobby, take the pics and never come back?

Hmm I haven't really checked the prices of those rooms yet, but you can arrange for a one night stay there even while you're already on the park. I think the rooms in the jungle dome will be quite a bit more expensive than the regular cottages!

that place looks like a lot of fun!

It really was! Beautiful scenery all around :D

Oh wow this is super cool!

That it is indeed! They have their inside centers like this aswell with all the shops and restaurants, but this jungle dome was even cooler :D

I guess I missed the beginning. Where is Jungle Dome?

It's on the vacation park we went to this week, here in the Netherlands :-)

Yes, it was a beautiful place to walk around in :-)
