BMW i8 Review and Road Test
It's here, the full review on the hybrid or rather the progressive sports car from the German manufacturer, behold the BMW i8. The concept was unveiled in 2009, and 9 years later (I know, I know) it's still turning heads and not just that they've also released a Roadster version.
This review outlines what Michael and myself think of the rather clever i8, the interior, build quality, driving experience etc.
This car was just over £123,000 for that though you get the 2018 Variant Facelift model with a few options including the Laser Lights, quite literally seeing is believing with these headlamps.
Our car was finished in e-copper, yes the same colour the Roadster is being advertised in.
There have been a few tweaks since the 2014 model, subtle styling changes and an increase in power.
The car features 1.5 turbo charged petrol engine at the rear, and the astonishing part is it's 3 cylinder, sorcery at play. In the front you have an 11.6Kw motor which can be charged, public charger, home charging or the fun way by driving the i 8 in Sport mode.
Economy wise your looking at 130+mpg, that's achieved by using the eco mode which utilises both the electric motor and the petrol engine, in petrol mode even when driven like it should be your looking at around 30mpg, which is amazing.
The rear seats are perfect for children however we mananged to transport Michael a short distance with ease. The boot is big enough for a decent sized bag and the charging pack.
Michael, Annabelle and myself loved this car, and can't believe it's practical enough to drive everyday, you don't even need to use petrol if you don't want.
thank you, please enjoy the video and comment below with questions and comment.

Thank you @curie for supporting us and glad you enjoyed our i8 review
Great video (as always), the i8 seems to be a very competitive electric car. And I love its design with this futuristic look.
Yes it’s amazing how usable it is in daily life, a real head turner too, thank you
