A Greek physician by the name of Hippocrates also spoke a lot about them, especially classifying them as a digestive aid.
Black cumin seeds could obviously be used for a lot of things, altough im not going to go through all of them,

Fat Burning Properties of Black Cumin Seeds Explained
Black cumin seeds contain phylosterols.
Those phylosterols when ingested limit how much cholesterol is absorbed by the body.
They do so by "mimicing" cholesterol from animal fats and so give the body a signal that it is already saturated with cholesterol, because the body can take up only so much cholesterol at once.
According to certain studies, consuming 2g of black cumin seeds daily reduces LDL (bad cholesterol) by up to 15%.
Black cumin seeds also help people who are struggling with insulin resistance or imbalances in blood sugar levels.
It does so by increasing insulin and glucose sensitivity.
- If you have diabetes consult a doctor before adding black cumin seeds to your diet!
Everybody knows that olive oil is often reccomended for fat loss because of the "high" content of oleic acid.
The oil made from black cumin seeds has a content of oleic acid higher up to 2000% than extra virgin olive oil!
Anti-Depressant and Anti-Anxiety Properties
Black cumin seed oil is also an effective anti-deppresant.
They've been shown to stabilize mood and reduce anxiety due to increasing GABA production in the brain.
- GABA is a natural "deppresant" in a way that it slows down the rate at which neurons operate
