I think its really amazing and inspiring seeing so many people posting in multiple languages. I only know english but I find it interesting seeing and reading the other languages. If a post seems interesting but isnt in english I will usually try google translate and I get a rough idea of what's been said. It's crazy that you could get into trouble for posting twice in separate languages! I think side by side is a great format and looks quite professional.
