Rasnov Fortress Photography
Râșnov Fortress - situated in Brasov Country, Romania. The fortress was built as part of a defense system for the Transylvanian villages exposed to outside invasions. Is also close to Dracula Castle :D. There are mountains and forest around, and you have a great view of the city from there.

These are beautiful photos. I love castles and I have dreamed of visiting Romania for a long time. One day I'll get there and will see this beautiful place through my own eyes :)

I saw one of these kind of posts made outside jodha bai palace in India which was built to protect Queen's fort from outside, similar structure as the pictures here.
I guess this was the most popular and efficient structure for protection to ancient architects ;)
Probably back then was the best option :)

Beautiful place. Everything looks so neat.
The fortress is so well preserved! (I read it was built around the 13th century!)
I am guessing, judging by the 6th picture closer look at one of the towers, that some parts have been rebuilt recently.
It looks like that is a very prosperous town or city.

Beautiful architecture and photographs. There is so much to see and do definitely want to travel to that region one day. I enjoy history so castles and fortresses are high on my list for visiting at some point.

Your pictures are incredible! You can actually sell these pictures to developers of postcards. The countryside is so vibrant and the structures are magnificent. I imagine living in this kind of community and witnessing works of art such as these buildings. I only have seen these buildings in the movies and it is really fascinating that we can have a glimpse of their society even though the people from that era are already gone. I just hope that these marvels are well preserved. Aside from the picture, these structures are telling us a story of how is life then and how it molded our present society. Well done.
