My body's immunity is down

Any disease can be prevented and treated only when the immune system is strong. Even in these days, when COVID-19 is rampant, immunity is of utmost concern. In such a case, it is necessary to recognize the signs of weakening immunity and take appropriate measures.

When the immune system is weakened, various bacteria or viruses can enter the body or multiply, causing various inflammatory diseases. A typical example is herpetic stomatitis. Herpes stomatitis occurs when a person carrying the herpes virus has a weakened immune system. If several small blisters of 2-3 mm appear around the lips, it is suspected. ‘cellulitis’ may occur. Cellulitis is an inflammatory disease caused by the penetration of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus into the tissue under the skin. The skin turns red and hurts when pressed. It usually occurs on the legs or feet. Blisters appear on the reddened skin, and pus may burst out afterwards. Women may also suffer from vaginitis. A lot of bacteria originally live in the vagina, but usually it doesn't cause any particular problems. This is because most of the beneficial bacteria, such as lactic acid bacteria, keep the inside of the vagina slightly acidic so that it can fight germs. However, when the body's immunity drops, beneficial bacteria decrease and harmful bacteria such as mold and trichomoniasis increase, causing vaginitis.

And when the immune system is weakened, the cold virus easily penetrates the body. Therefore, it is easy to catch a cold and the symptoms are severe. Even with a common cold, symptoms such as low fever, runny nose, and cough persist for 3 to 4 days and then disappear. However, if the immune system is greatly weakened, the symptoms may last longer and a high fever may occur.
