How did it happen?

What does it take to become a Dolphin?

Short answer:
It takes some time. Almost two years in my case.

For those who aren't familiar with my blog:
I draw and paint. Mostly. Sometimes I make stuff in 3D.

I try to write in English correctly which is kinda hard because I'm not English. I’m Polish.
I really need to polish my English (heh).

Generally, I do graphic related stuff and post it here.

Notice:

I don't draw or paint for a living.
I don't do 3D stuff at my dayjob either (well, sometimes I do, but not much).

I'm a professional graphic designer and front end web developer.

On days I design marketing stuff - brochures, POS, stickers, landing pages, websites, ads, banners, etc...
You know, everything you throw to a garbage bin or scroll away with your mouse as soon as you see it.
Also, I edit videos while flirting with coworkers.
Women exclusively. Sorry, guys.

But by night, I wear my mask and cape...

And I do stuff.
So Steemit/D.tube and other Steem interfaces became my vacation from work and my testing field.

I'm learning to draw. In many different techniques, and I post results here.
Trying to work my style out.
A year ago I was teaching myself Blender - 3d software.
Next year?
Maybe Python programming? Who knows?
I have freedom here, on Steemit.
I can post whatever I want.

And this is the ultimate goal!

Actually, becoming a Dolphin wasn't my goal in the first place.
I just wanted to be a simple Whale.
Just kidding... I won't be a Whale anytime soon.
I'm in a state of ketosis, and I'm losing weight rather quickly.

Anyway.
How the hell I got here, at the Dolphin level?

1. A lot of posting. (Yeah!)
2. I post what I like. (C'mon!)
3. I bought some Steem and powered it up (I think 1/3 of my SP was bought. Maybe more. This is not an investment advice!)
4. Before HF22 I was a recreational bidboter (thanks, @ocdb!)
5. Since #Newsteem occurred. I do not buy upvotes. They happen themselves now. Awesome!

That's about it.

What would I do to get here faster?

1. Meet and engage more people.

I'm too introvert for that.
