The Snow Snake: Fearsome Critter
The Snow Snake is a fearsome critter who’s legend is still very much alive today, especially in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Should someone use the phrase “I was treed by a snow snake,” as an excuse for their tardiness, you may be inclined to believe them. A Snow Snake would inflict dread in anyone unlucky enough to run into one. The Snow Snake has a deadly venom, with no known antidote. On top of being extremely deadly, the Snow Snake is extremely quick moving, and excellent at camouflage.
As the name suggests, Snow Snakes are apt to attack in the winter. Their white coloring allows them to hide easily in the snow. Unlike other snakes, they hibernate in the summer. Legend has it that they hibernated from Siberia, crossing the Bering Strait.

A snake in the winter! That is absurd...and terrifying. You dont see many snakes, or reptiles or any sort for that matter, in the winter.

I spent a few years in my childhood in a small town near Toronto Canada. No one has ever told me about Snow Snakes. The best I heard was Snow Angel. Haha.
