Italy’s largest lake is Lake Garda, where the mountains of the Northern Alps tumble to the water’s edge, olive and lemon trees weave across the hillsides and vineyards dot the landscape. Due to its beauty and mild climate, lake Garda , also called Benàco. It is also known for its crystal clear water. Lake Garda lies midway between Milan and Venice, and is the beating heart of northern Italy.
