Poloniex STEEM and Steem Dollars wallet

Just wanted to let you guys know, all STEEMIT wallet systems are offline on Poloniex, for no apparent reason - the wallets run well everywhere else. Due to the wallet outage, the value of the currency is dropping rapidly - after a big boom it went down at least 50%.

I jumped into this crap very unfortunately - sent my ETH to Poloniex, bought some SBD and then I wanted to transfer my funds to my STEEMIT wallet to test the experience - and got stuck on "Pending" in the wallet. 12 hours later, they officially shut down the wallet for reasons :

SBD is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the SBD team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling.

The official statement from Polo came about two days later, it somehow stabilized the market to fall even more later though.

I found posts from people on the chat here in #poloniex room dating way back to December 7th about them sending funds to Polo and getting them lost. On Google these post begun appearing day later. So when I entered the market there, it was all done:/

Poloniex is obviously riddled with such situations - its one of the oldest (or the oldest?) exchange market for these currencies and in May 2017, they begun to have problems with just about everything. Today the state of the server is obviously much better, but it is still bad compared to Bitrex or Bitfinex. As a matter of fact, I found an exchange in India that is certainly working better then this:)

So to sum up : Steemit is a currency with a future - just the STEEM currency has a market cap of 425 473 844 USD to day + the other currencies.

Poloniex is an old structure that didnt really keep up with the big players, I wouldnt say they are scammers as some call them - but if you decide to trade there - be prepared to get thrown around like if you werent wort a single STEEM dollar :)
