Quick Tip: Luring YouTube Artists to Steemit

in #steem-marketing8 years ago (edited)

In this video, Holly Henry explains that she can only monetize her original songs on YouTube and not her covers. This presents an opportunity for us those of us that want to bring them over here. Just subscribe to any content creators you like and keep an eye on your subscription feed. As soon as they post their next video, comment early with a simple line like the one I used (Gabriel Scheare).

As you can see, I also switched over to my Fort Galt account in order to reinforce the post. Not only will this attract the struggling artist but it will also catch the eyes of their subscribers.
Good hunting!

This is an interesting idea! It just may work for some YouTubers. I will give this a try!

I saw your comment on the video. Yay teamwork! :D

Interesting, so they are not directly profiting off of the cover itself if they post to a site such as this with it's reward system. Does anyone know if that could have some legal issues?

No legal issues. Steem isn't legally considered a currency and there's no transaction taking place. They're performing, recording, and posting here without any agreement of compensation. We're just expressing our approval by up-voting and they are awarded digital "points" by the network as a result. It would only get dangerous for the poster if they falsely claimed to be the original author of the song.

Listen to this guy at 09:02

He's got 100k subscribers and he is clearly looking for something like Steemit.

EDIT: Today (2nd July) he released a new episode. This is our chance to draw his attention to Steem - he'll be reading comments on YouTube. I've posted a comment inviting him to Steem - please do the same or upvote my comment.

that was great. I subscribed and will wait for his next video. Gotta strike as soon as it goes up.

This is part of why I joined Steemit, as a way to market my channel!
