Chaos at sunset breaks the silence

I was heading home after a photo session in the cold. The sun was long gone under the horizon. It was dark and cold. In the distance a man and his dog were taking their evening walk. The dog barked and disturbed the freezing silence. A powerful sound filled the park. There was the sound of thousand pairs of flapping wings generating a vibe that hit my chest. The sky received its visitors offering a spectacular view. I took the camera and shoot a few pictures. very well exposed but the birds were very blurred. I needed to adjust the shutter speed to freeze the flock of birds while still maintaining a decent exposure. I bumped the ISO to 6400 and the aperture wide open at f4. This is what I obtained after heavy editing, I know there are artefacts present but thats the best I could do. If you have a suggestion on some better settings I will be thankful. I have not encounter this type of situation before: moving subjects on a very low light environment so this was my best guess in that moment.
