Photography has therapeutic effects
Life has its way of teaching a lesson. It could be a simple correction of our bad habits or something that will really impact us for the rest of our life.
I also have regrets, I guess everyone has them too.
As we age, we tend to reminisce about the past and recall the good things and also the bad ones. The good memories will always cheer us up. But the bad ones will always bring us down as well. The frustrating part is that we never knew until it happened and there is nothing else that we can do about it. Hence, we say "it's too late" and "let's just move on".
I'm sure that many (if not all) will always have the kinds of regrets that will come to haunt us in the later part in our life. It's stressful to think about and there's very little that we can do about it.
So, what I do to alleviate a part of the issues is to focus on the thing that I can control or mend if it's possible. By doing so, I'm changing my mindset and I tend to be productive as a result.
It also helps that I'm maintaining a hobby that gives me a sense of accomplishment for the creative part of me. The rewards are just the bonus that comes with the therapeutic effect of photography as my hobby.
