Many people are paranoid about AI I just find it silly. Intelligence is called Intelligence for a reason. To be scared of AI is like being scared of Intelligence. Don't be anti-intelligence when you are Intelligence. Intelligence is not a threat. It's the thing that helps humans. Poverty consciousness wants Control/Domination. AI is the liberator
True AI is very difficult to achieve, much of the mainstream stuff these days is machine learning...The machines learn, watching us humans doing it for awhile and then with a little training from us they get better and better, thus allowing us to automate allot of tasks. We will know when AI is mainstream as it's when the machines start doing things before we train them or even ask. Used with things like robotics it could solve many of the worlds problems, but it will require some change in the way people think :)
