So more people are becoming more abundant and have more time over. Which means that people will start looking beyond wealth to see what they can do in life.
One people are well settled and have no financial problems, they can think about many things. Have new ideas, volunteer or make new businesses. Life isnt about money, but somehow we are stuck in that endless cycle. Earn and pay :(
I think it is because, like you said yourself, once people are settled and have no financial problems then they have the opportunity to think or volunteer or ponder things beyond just the here and now. When people don't have enough money, more importantly when they don't have enough wealth to be able to live comfortably or to get their needs met, they are going to continue to try to get to that point. It takes a lot for a human being to be comfortable at the end of the day. I used to make a truckload of money and to be perfectly honest, right now I'm homeless and my life is sort of not the best version of itself, but I wasn't much better off when I made a lot of money. It's about perspective and the experience that you have. When you have money from the beginning, generally people take it for granted. When you work hard for your money and you build it up and you understand what it's like to skimp and have to say if then you become more frugal. This can allow for appreciation of said money or wealth and sort of perpetuates it being used wisely. We are stuck in this rat race because the people on top right now have more than enough and the people on the bottom work for chump change. It's not just because they want more money or people are greedy by nature, or maybe it is. But that greed isn't always about thing. When greed perpetuates this forward motion for us to evolve and to do better then it is a survival coping skill. When greed is used to attain more then your share then it is negative.
I think it's gonna be hard to take greed out of humanity even though it is one of those Cardinal sins. The fact of the matter is when you're on the bottom greed is it necessarily badd, greed can be the difference between you starving or not or your children having food and your progeny living on. It's 1 of those things that gives the cognitive dissidents once you have time to sit around and think about. In my experience I had money and then I didn't have money and then I had money that I made on my own right but I still didn't appreciate it because I had money from the get go and I was entitled and now I have fallen towards rock bottom somewhere and it is painful and I understand but I still have really poor spending habits. I am aware but I don't necessarily care because by the time that I do get money I just want to be able to have a meal or if I'm looking for comfort maybe a cigaret. I don't have time to think about the future when I don't have a roof over my head though you know?
I think a lot of people are just like that period it looks like one thing but when you get in their shoes it's a completely different situation and people have a really hard time learning or and learning rather. If we know something to be true in our mind then learning new information that goes against that information that we think to be true, it's really difficult for us to adapt. Thus, the rat race will continue and greed will prevail unless speak collectively do something to try to change that and we are willing to work through the cognitive dissidents is a society.
Some days I have hope that this can be attained in the future. Everyday I have faith that life is what life is. Ultimately I don't think any change can be made until a lot of us get together and are willing to be cooperative.
