My most successful post to date didn't make a penny and why it's a good thing.
In my last post I discussed why I refuse to crochet blankets for the homeless I thought it was a pretty good post so went to bed a little disappointed that it had headed to post purgatory with out being noticed. But when I logged onto Facebook and saw it had caused a big debate in one of my crochet groups I quickly decided that it was in fact my most successful post yet.
Of course I love that we can potentially earn a lot of money here it's every writers dream and we are all hoping for a whale to swim by and give us the boost we need. But like most writers it's mostly about the ego having people read share and actually discuss your can be more motivational to keep writing the posts that don't get noticed.
so the fact that this afternoon people are now asking themselves if they are helping the homeless in the best possible way they can has left me feeling like this.
So don't write for whales write for the ego boost, it'll keep you motivated to keep writing.
Thanks for reading

I agree that seeing numbers climb is motivational. I have to remember that I'm new here and probably won't get the attention for the articles I'm pouring my heart & time into BUT I'm enjoying the writing process and learning how to use Markdown for my posts. Knowledge is more precious to me because if we can't keep our minds active then we may as well cock up our toes.
It was a good post, and I agree that if you want to help you should help right away, don't take two weeks to make a blanket.
i do find it quite baffling to be honest. i know it's nice to put your hobby to good use i just think there are better ways of doing it.
I see you haven't posted in a few days, I hope you have some more art work for us soon. (or even a tutorial or two)
I'm making some sketches..maybe I will post tomorrow.
I'll keep checking in. have a great evening/day wherever you are.
Good advice and phwoar at Misha in your picture love it :)
I love how it created such a discussion. Was a great post and I hope some more people find the time to read it.
