Harmonize your body in 2018 - Phi Method

Hello Steemians,

as usual (by the end of the year) many of us reflect on our progress. It so happens that we achieved many of the things we wanted to and for some there is room for improvement. We want to give you a new edge to think about your training for the new year. We want nudge you to start thinking about your body and its performance in a new way.

Optimization of general physical development or any discipline specific performance requires alignment of all body features. Only when all body features like strength, agility, mobility etc., are balanced synergies one can really achieve maximized movement performance. So it follows that achieving physical goals comes down to a balanced development of the involved body features. We want to tell you about the the Phi Method. In the Phi Method progress comes through understanding which body features are required for particular movements or skills and the combination of the most effective exercises to build those from a wide range of disciplines

Practicality is the core value

The Phi Method aims for a distinct level of body awareness and development in context to once very own goals. Taking out the guesswork of progress the method puts the practitioner in realistic situations forcing the development of reflexive responses. Each body feature is mainly improved through reality-based application. The Phi Method enables refinements and improvements of those patterns across the relevant body features. By focusing on building up the key patterns in the right sequence the practitioner gets to the stage where he can disregard more and more exercises and gets to a stage to make use of them. The Phi Method gives the right amount of attention to the required body features in an environment that is as real as possible.

We have all been there. It is though to identify the right next exercise and intensity to progress. The method finds a path through the jungle of possible exercises at each given point in time in order to progress efficiently. This path takes the individual's abilities and body feature composition in center leading to a much greater freedom to move.The progression allows the practitioner to start to building up the ability and understanding allowing for a flow-like creative usage of the key patterns and skills. By having the right focus, things that  felt improbable for your body to achieve, will come closer and closer by choosing the right path and a lot of patience.

Phase 1: Adventure

Beginners build up the required physical and body control towards an harmonized system. With that they achieve a generic baseline of performance.

Phase 2: Progress

A balanced practitioner reduces limiting factors and builds body awareness. The practitioner acquires the necessary level of physical conditioning, fundamental skills and perception of all dimensions required.

Phase 3: Competence

The practitioner makes use of his understanding and combines patterns producing multidimensional motion.Practitioners start to be able to expand the shape of movements.

Phase 4: Virtuoso

The practitioner reaches a superior level of understanding and execution. The ability to improvise and create new skills emerges and produces results unlike those experienced before. The practitioner's skills become extraordinarily varied.

Measurement of real progress

Different goals require different patterns, movement timings, body alignment - which also means they require different stages of development of each body feature. Each physical goal requires a different combination, while even each individual body composition redefines this mix again. The more progressed the practitioner becomes the more minuscule does the measurement of performance get - leveraging latest technology in later stages of the development. So the method continuously evolves and remains deeply rooted in practicality and measurable results.With that the method efficiently brings the practitioner to the required mindset, physical conditioning, skills and movement patterns. This is equally relevant not only for professionals but also for the beginner on his path to a harmonized body system.

We wanted to let you know about the method and if nothing else, help to challenge your perspective on your training to widen up what influences you allow into your training. Keep on breaking through old thinking and training-patterns and push through continuous refinement towards internalization of any physical skills.
