Humility and kindness
Robert Furey,(1989:74) in his book titled; so I’m not perfect; a psychology of Humility, defines humility as
“The acceptance of one’s own imperfections“.
According to him, humility does not restrict self expression nor does it disallow feelings of pride. It in no way limit human potential: rather humility allow us to accept the limitations of our potentials. Indeed, self acceptance is a foundation of all emotional health and spiritual growth which calls for humility, a virtue which Christ proclaimed will set us free.
Humility is therefore a gift of the Holy Spirit and anyone seeking to grow in the spirit will have to pray for it
A Christian who constantly reflect in his relationship with other human beings, will surely know when he is moving to true love by the humility he manifests in the relationship. Surely the spirit of authentic love will bring one into an inner freedom because he will be experiencing from within
“the inner beauty in Gods infinite love for him”.
In that freedom that admits of great growth of the spirit, you will find yourselves giving up your aggressive attacks upon others and upon things around you. A gentleness of the spirit will pervade your entire being at all levels, body, spirit and soul. A deeper receptivity than that which you formally manifested in the past will allow you to encounter more of God in the other person. Such humility will be able to transforms one’s pride and selfishness which can be expressed in ones looks, words and actions, such that one can sincerely stand in for others, to serve them
Humility is thus an art, a feeling, a value, a virtue, a human quality, and an education, and allows us to accept the limitations of our potentials and accept whom we really are. This is the more reason you shound be sought by all who wish to grow in the spirit.
Furthermore, when Jesus first spoke of mildness in himself, he asked us to learn from him he concretely said,
“ take my yoke upon your shoulder and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of hearts. Your souls may find rest, for my yoke is easy and my burden light(matthew 11:29).
To grow in the spirit, we have to grow like Jesus meek and humble of heart.

These are two qualities we should all endeavour to cultivate. A humble person is normally kind because he does not view himself as superior to others. When we develop those qualities, it will be easily seen in us. Many Christians in the world have been employed just because of the humility their employers see in them.
Humility is the basis for self acceptance,which serves as the foundation for emotional,health and spiritual growth.
Be humble in everything you do and watch yourself soar beyond your limits.
A humble heart, the Lord will not turn his eyes away from. Humility is such a powerful virtue that the Lord loves and looks for in his followers. This is what made God love David so.

If we ever think we can please God without being humble and kind then we are not even ready. It of utmost concern that we Christians has neglected this part in the Christianity lifestyle. Let us do these things for it is a way we can touch lives and please God
Humilty is actually a virtue that is hard to find in humans this days and even the bible emphasised somuch on it and it said that he that exhaults hisimself will be humbled and he that is humble wull be exhaulted.
What many christains fail to understand is dat humilty is the key to success
Mostv preachers of the gospel lack the spiritvof humily especially our leaders in church,when they are promoted they become so proud and rude to their followers .
