Malaysian duo Rasid and Thanabalan aiming for quarter-finals.

Safawi Rasid has set his sights on the AFC U23 Championship China 2018 quarter-finals ahead of the Southeast Asians’ opening match with Iraq in Group C at Changshu Sports Centre Stadium on Wednesday.

Malaysia could not have asked for tougher opponents in their maiden fixture at the tournament as inaugural winners Iraq lie in wait, but Ong Kim Swee’s team will kick off their campaign with confidence after strong performances in the second half of 2017.
