Duckling & Balloons 鴨仔與氣球~

This is a painting project I did for a custom order made by a young Greek couple. They were expecting their first baby and looking for something unique to decorate the baby's room.

I was given the following information and requirements:
1, There should be balloons as a theme in the painting.
2, The wife, i.e. the young mom, wanted a cute duck in the painting, because that was the nickname of her husband, baby's dad. However she wanted herself to stay away from being in the picture, so she could be the one who laughs like "Hey look that's you hahaha..."
3, The painting should show happiness, love, best wishes ... everything beautiful for a baby.
4, The colour scheme needed to match the wall, which had already been painted with "Scuba Greene 2046-50 Benjamin Moore"

From when the first idea came to mind, to the moment that finally the painting was hung on the wall, it took me 2 weeks to finish the commission.
A month after, the baby was born.

這是小p所接的一個繪畫項目，為一對年輕的希臘夫婦專門訂製。當時這對幸福的夫婦將要迎來他們第一個寶寶的降生，於是想尋找一件獨一無二的裝飾品佈置在嬰兒房中。
訂製有如下要求：
1，畫面主題為“氣球”。
2，年輕的媽媽希望在畫中有一隻可愛的小鴨子，因為那是她丈夫，即寶寶爸爸的暱稱。而她自己則選擇置身畫外，這樣她就可以指著畫面笑：“哈哈哈你瞧那是你！”
3，畫面要傳達幸福，愛，美好的心願... 所有對寶寶的祝福。
4，色調必須與寶寶房裡已經粉刷好的粉綠色"Scuba Greene 2046-50 Benjamin Moore"墻匹配。

從最初的創意閃現，到畫正式掛上墻，足足苦幹了兩個星期。
一個月後，寶寶也出生了。
歡迎來到這個世界！

每個孩子的出生，都帶來這訊息——上天還未對人類徹底失望。

I'm thinking of writing another post to share the details of all the progresses, step by step, from the initial ideas to finalization. Guess there might be a little bit more chances to get votes than squeezing everything into one post would do? :D hmmm, very smart.
